Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Backend Developer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in backend development. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop skills in building scalable back-end systems, APIs, and databases while contributing to real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs.
- Work alongside senior developers to implement features and improvements.
- Help with the management and optimization of databases.
- Write simple, maintainable code and support debugging and testing.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Assist in the development of API documentation.
- Learn about cloud platforms, server management, and deployment practices.
- Help in the optimization of backend services for performance and scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or recently graduated).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
- Basic understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Basic knowledge of APIs, version control (Git), and web technologies.
- Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Exposure to containerization tools (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of security practices in web development.
